The Portuguese Cup, last race of the official Portuguese calendar, was held on Sunday the 14th at Avancaâ™s track. About 50 drivers attended, with the following racing Xray cars:

On Saturday practice, both Carlos Duraes and Nuno Rebelo got a good setup for their XB9â™s and a fast race was expected, fighting for the podium.
On Sunday the wheather conditions were very poor at due times, enough to cause a delay of about 1h30 during the morning period. |

During the qualifying heats, both Carlos and Nuno kept driving very fast and consistent, with Carlos getting TQ.
Carlos led his semi from start to finish, and Nuno made a great semi suffering a bump in the begginig and still managing to bump-up in third. Shout out to Joel Soares, who missed the bump by a few seconds, on the final lap, on his first XB9 race, and not by his mistakeâ¦
Carlos Duraes got the #1 on the A-Main, and Nuno Rebelo #4. As the race started, Carlos Duraes was flying through the track, but some kind of âśfailureâť on his transponder got him 0 (zero) laps counted⦠He did not give up, and still finished the race in an âśunofficialâť first placeâ¦
Nuno Rebelo also made an amazing race, finishing only behind Miguel Matias, getting 2nd place overall.
